I'm a blues man myself so I know where jazz,rock/metal and R&B came from. You know,if you really think about it,Jimi Hendrix was kind of metal.In fact heavy metal has been around a lot longer than people think,not just since Zeppelin,Sabbath or Deep Purple.The Troggs,the Kinks,Iron Butterfly,Blue Cheer(especially),Vanilla Fudge,Alice Cooper,Mountain and Budgie are all good examples of very early metal bands.
